Wanting to continue in the efforts and wishes of Daranee's father and Tim's grandfather, they started the charity to help children from the poorest parts of Thailand. Their aim is to provide these children with the opportunity to study and create a better future for themselves and their family. Working in collaboration with municipality members and village elders, they have carefully selected cases in which children are living in dire situations and may not survive if not helped. These include some that only have a grandmother to look after them or those living in homes with mud floors and no walls for protection.
The aim of the event is create awareness for Help Thai and the families they are helping, raise money to build more homes and provide more disadvantaged children with an education, as well as bring some international artists to grace the Bangkok music scene.
The featured artists at the event include:
Pauli The PSM, the former drummer for Gorillaz and Sampha and former Musical Director for Jamie XX and FKA Twigs. His solo career debuted with The Idea of Tomorrow, featuring Idris Elba, and was solidified by the launch of his live shows with an opening slot for Sampha’s Mercury winning “Process” album tour.
