Are you ready to learn about Pakistan through a three-course dinner? theCOMMONS has partnered with Na Projects Group together with Click-Aroi project under Asylum Access Thailand to raise awareness for the global refugee crisis. This monthly dinner is a chance to learn about different cultures and the ongoing refugee crisis through homemade meals prepared by your Pakistani refugee hosts. After costs, your donations enable them to afford housing, food, and necessities.

On the Menu:

Starters:
Laddu with Plum & Tamarind Sauce (Vegetarian): Tuck into spiced dahl fritters.
Sweet & Salty Samosa (Vegetarian): These crispy, potato pockets burst with flavor.
Spinach Pakora (Vegetarian): Pakoras are a popular snack with satisfying crunch.

Mains:
Mutton Pulao: Enjoy cinnamon & saffron spiced mutton with pillowy basmati rice.
Chicken Malai Kofta: This succulent dish features meatballs in a rich gravy.
Beef Karahi: Dig into flavorful Pakistani beef nestled in a tomato-based curry.

Dessert:
Carrot Halwa: Tuck into sweet carrot pudding infused with cardamom and nuts.

About Your Hosts:
Your host was part of the persecuted Ahmadiyya community in Gujranwala, Pakistan. The hostile environment escalated when her neighborhood was attacked by a violent mob. Due to safety concerns, she fled to Thailand for a peaceful life, a bright future, and hope to earn a living through culinary skills.
